Next Elderlife Luncheon Program - Chagrin Falls Intermediate School Select Choir
The Chagrin Falls Intermediate School Select Choir will provide the entertainment at the May Elderlife Luncheon. The choir features fifth and sixth graders from the school who have auditioned for the choir. The students selected rehearse twice a week after school to attain a high level of performance which goes beyond the limitations of classroom instruction. Each year this group of 65-75 students performs for school concerts, Meals on Wheels, Holly Hall, the Memorial Day ceremony, and other community activities.
The group was founded in 1996 and is still under the direction of Chagrin Falls music teacher and department chair Mrs. Pat Haynish. Students from the group also participate in the Ohio Choral Director’s Honor Choir. This year 10 current or former members were selected to perform as the Munchkins when the National Tour of the Wizard of Oz performed at Playhouse Square. The choir will also be featured at the April 28th Captain’s baseball game.
Elderlife Luncheons are usually held at 12:30pm on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Family Life Center. Reservations are REQUIRED and must be called in a full week before the event. The cost is $8.
