Epiphany turned out to be a glorious trip around the world at Alive360, with speakers Phil Porter, Mark Simone, Carolyn Young, Leslie Penrose, Brenda Grauer, Carl Jenks, Adrienne Brockway, and Ruth Garwood. Our gratitude to all those who contributed to such a rich Epiphany experience.
Coming up:
On March 18-We will warmly welcome Federated’s long-time friend, Pastor Craig Duffield to Alive360. Craig will be preaching at Alive360, sharing his wonderful sense of the Spirit and his heartfelt stories. Craig is a former youth minister in the South African Methodist church who has now shifted his time to work with international youth ministry training, involving him in such places as Ecuador and other African nations. Craig will be featured at a South African Alumni gathering in Fellowship Hall the following evening, speaking to GROUP and doing advance organization for our 2013 trip. We look forward to our time with Craig and hope to sing some South African tunes to celebrate his time with us!
On April 1, Palm Sunday-Alive360 will be an experience of the Passion Story. We are looking for any people who are interested in helping us to tell this powerful story in creative ways. Please contact Ruth Garwood at rgarwood@att.net if your passions might lend a hand to telling the story of Jesus’ last week on earth.
What does “Alive360” mean?
Alive360 is an extension of Federated’s new “The Spirit is Alive!” tag line that came out of our recent branding process. 360 refers to a global perspective. This is reinforced with the “Love Globally * Celebrate Locally” which acknowledges that we are called to love all people as our neighbors, and to celebrate that love wherever we are.
What is the service like?
Not traditional and not contemporary in the typical sense, Alive360 is a multi-media, multisensory and multi-generational worship experience. The service has an international flavor that exemplifies the “Love Globally * Celebrate Locally” theme. Alive60 strives to be an open community where absolutely all are welcome regardless of where they are in their life or spiritual journey.
