Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, an Islamic Gandhi for modern day Turkey,
was a social activist guiding Islam in the heart of their transition to Western influence after WWI.
His "Risale-i Nur" or the Treatise of Light is a 6,000 page commentary on the Qur'an
that sheds light on contemporary issues regarding belief.
Today 13.5 million Muslims study the Risale-i-Nur every week
in conjunction with their study of the Qur'an.
Nursi offers original solutions to modern life problems
and has strongly supported dialog between Christianity and Islam.
"A person who sees the good in things has good thoughts.
And he who has good thoughts receives pleasure from life."
